Sweet Little Words

Last night my little one must have been having a bad dream. She had a slight cry and whimper for maybe ten minutes before I went to check on her (hoping she'd fall back asleep). When I went in her room and she realized I was there she kept asking for our sweet Bernese Mountain Dog,  Maverick. I let her know "Mavy" was okay but she had to see him.

Once she saw him and was able to pet him she calmed down. Oh how she loves her two puppy dogs as we call them!

She didn't want to be left alone so I pulled out the extra mattress and we snuggled together on the floor bed. At that time I prayed for patience since usually on nights like this she treats it like a game and wants to play since you're laying next to her. A few minutes later she rolled over and says,  "Thank you mommy for doing my Elsa hair." Oh it melted my heart!

We didn't sleep much, but we had quite the pillow talk for a two year old. She told me about her dollies, her friends, how she watches movies at grandma's house and so much more. It was an exhausting, but adorable night. So grateful for all that she's learning and the love that she has for her family!

Today after church and nap time JC and Lilly had a dance party to the tune of the organ from her Snow White cottage. He's such a cute dad always dancing with her or playing her favorite, ring around the rosies. Shortly after the three of us were playing with Ring around the rosies with Belle, Elsa, and Anna in between each of us. Moments like these I love the most!

Week 35

How far along?  35 Weeks
Sleep:  I've had better.
Best moment this week:  Simply feeling accomplished!  Pre-registered with the hospital, got the new pediatrician all set up for the new year/new baby, snowman slippers done for the two main girls who have been watching Lilly at Little Critters, a lot checked off my 'To Do' list, cleaned the car, finally decorated the empty kitchen wall and work done for my at home job. It's nice to have so much done!
Miss Anything?  Feeling secure about myself.  I've been on one heck of a roller coaster this pregnancy and I feel so sluggish and out of shape.  It's to the point I'm glad I don't work anymore cause it was depressing getting dressed in the morning (not to mention it made me winded!) and I don't feel confident with my chubby, flubbyness.  With that said: I'm grateful for a new baby coming and that I'm able to carry the baby for the pregnancy so I shouldn't complain, it's only temporary!
Movement:  It is getting more intense  the bigger he gets!
Food cravings:  Nothing specific this week.
Labor Signs: Starting to have little Braxton Contractions.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Still on.
Symptoms: The usual.
Looking forward to:  Christmas!  I can't believe it's so soon!!

Week 34

How far along?  34 Weeks
Sleep: With the lingering cough it's been hard falling asleep.  A few nights I woke up around 5am with a major coughing fit.... I felt bad (even though JC sleeps through anything!) so I slept on the front room couch with Maverick.
Best moment this week:  It's been a great week all together. Family Night we went to look at Christmas Lights- which Lilly absolutely loved!!  We went to Temple Square with family one night. I did some deep cleaning around the house- totally refreshing! And listened to baby boy's heart beat. Fantastic week.
Miss Anything?  Feeling cozy.  My clothes are getting too snug, my jackets don't zip up, even my stretchy pants are almost to their stretch limit!  I'm the size I was with Lilly when I delivered her so I'm nervous what these next few weeks bring!
Movement:  He's all over the place!
Food cravings:  Cranberry Juice- we've been going through a lot of it.
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.  Although... JC got really excited one night I was coughing pretty hard, my button started to poke out on each cough!  He got quite the kick out of it!  He's hoping that it pops out for a few weeks!
Weddings rings on or off?  Still on.
Symptoms: A protruding belly button when I cough! haha!  Of course, the hip pain.
Looking forward to:  Christmas!  I can't believe it's so soon!!

Week 33

How far along?  33 Weeks
Sleep: It was a rough week.  I started out having no voice, turned into a scratchy voice, developed a cough and now congestion.  I had a hard time sleeping because of the cough and congestion!
Best moment this week:  Having my last day at work!  I can't believe after 8 years I'm finally quitting my job.  Everyone teases me, even the UPS guy, that I will be back in a few months or the next year.  I'm hoping thats not the case however!  I'm really looking forward to being a stay at home mom!  I have a few weeks before baby boy gets here so it will be nice to enjoy Lilly time and get things prepared around the house.
Miss Anything?  My paycheck already!  I know this will be a big blessing to our family- but its still a little nerve racking knowing I wont have my big pay day anymore!
Movement:  He's pretty consistent with his schedule. I'm hoping that since he's most wiggle in the evenings/nights that it's not a sign how he'll be out in the real world!
Food cravings:  I've said it before, but I'm still surprised I haven't had crazy cravings like I did with Lilly.  Sure something sounds good now and again- but not bad enough I have to go get it right away!
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  I don't want to take it off at night anymore for the fear it wont go back on!
Symptoms: Besides the musculoskeletal and the cough/congestion - nothing!
Looking forward to:  My farewell lunch for work.  I hate being the spotlight, but it will be fun to get together with everyone and officially have my last hurrah!

Week 32

How far along?  32 Weeks
Sleep: Overall it was pretty good.  The hip pain kicks in when I need to rotate or get out of bed for intermission of sleeping for a bathroom break. And apparently I had a pretty epic snoring moment that JC felt he should record and play for me! I remember waking up at one point while he was still awake and he played it for me... I blamed it on the dogs. Haha!
Best moment this week:  Having a baby appointment and hearing the little heart beat going strong. Always a blessing!  Each morning Lilly has been saying hi to baby brother as well and rubbing my tummy.  That's just adorable!
Miss Anything?  Not feeling like a slug! I keep telling myself this pregnancy could be a lot worse... it's horrible compared to Lilly, but fantastic compared to others I'm sure. I really miss being active and simply walking without wanting to cry!
Movement:  He is most wiggly after 6pm.  I like to watch my tummy shift around when he's getting cozy.
Food cravings:  I will gladly report that I gave in to Little Caesars Pizza.  JC had to work until almost 10pm all week preparing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday emails so Lilly and I picked up a pizza, painted our nails and watched Frozen.  It was a lovely evening. I'm excited for the many girls nights I get with that Little One as she gets older!
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Starting to get a little less wiggle room.
Symptoms: Dr gave me a couple stretches for the musculoskeletal pain I'm dealing with.  It helps, but still hurts.  As he put it, it will probably stay the same or get worse the next few weeks.  I've decided I will embrace the pain and rejoice when it's all done and simply be grateful for my body!
Looking forward to:  Going to Savior of The World with my family.  I remember going once before and its such a beautiful production about our Savior.

Week 31

How far along?  31 Weeks
Sleep: It's a good thing I have headphones next to my bed. I've been waking up and not been able to go back to sleep so I'll listen to conference until I do.
Best moment this week:  Being home with Lilly.  She's still in recovery mode from the Hand Foot and Mouth, but she's been so fun to be with during the days. I'm grateful for my little one and LOVE being her mom!
Miss Anything?  Lilly's nap time.  We lay her down but she will just play in her room for about a hour, sometimes two.  So its more like "quiet time" or "Mommy/Daddy" time.  How is she two and already phasing from the glorious nap time?!
Movement:  LOTS of it!  Sometimes I feel like I have a twitch that shakes my entire body... but its just from baby kicking!  He's got some force behind his movements.
Food cravings:  I've really wanted pizza for two weeks now. And not any pizza, but Little Caesars.  WHY?!  I haven't caved for it though cause I know JC doesn't like the Caesars and I'm not loving Pizza Hut while pregnant.  Maybe I'll cave soon. But until then, bagels and cream cheese still make me happy.
Have you started to show yet?  If you can't tell I'm pregnant by the bump - then its the waddle.
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Always on!
Symptoms: I have Musculoskeletal pain Its been going on for a few weeks now but there have been a few days I am about to break down and cry it hurts so bad.  It's all on one side on my inner thigh and pelvic region. I know your hips stretch out, but I never had this type of pain with Lilly.  That pregnancy was a breeze from beginning to end! Now I just hurt to walk and have an adorable little waddle going.... :o(
Looking forward to:  Thanksgiving!

Week 30

How far along?  30 Weeks
Sleep: I think overall it was a good week of sleep. As long as the fan is on, I'm OK.
Best moment this week:  Well, this was a rough week!  Lilly got Hand Foot Mouth disease, I fell down about 8 of the stairs going to the basement; all sliding on my backside, and Wallie got the worst haircut of his life!  Best moment out of all of that... lots of snuggles from my little one and amazing husband that leaves work to come take care of me.
Miss Anything?  My pride that is still at the bottom of the stairs... haha!
Movement:  This boy is in there playing soccer or something. When he moves, he moves!
Food cravings:  Bagels and cream cheese.  Mmmm, cream cheese.
Have you started to show yet?  I can't see my toes....
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Always on!
Symptoms: Clumsy.  I'm blaming falling down the stairs on the baby.  It happened with Lilly too.
Looking forward to:  Finishing Lilly's room.  Oh goodness it's so cute in there!  A pretty turquoise blue on one wall, white with sparkles on the other walls, an adorable chandelier, mirrors and a ballet barre!  I think I'll be spending most my time in there with her!  What a dream!

Ballerina

Lilly loves ballerinas and being a ballerina! She wears a tutu every day and loves to have a bun, also known as "Belle" hair.

We are on day two of the sad Hand Foot Mouth disease and have had to be tricky getting her to take her medicine. Tonight after her bath, she of course requested to put her tutu back on. We got passed that by insisting she wears her ballerina jammies (they are absolutely adorable and have cute ballerinas on them.) Once in her ballerina jammies, I asked if she wanted to take ballerina juice so she will have ballerina dreams and twirl all night long. Of course she got really excited, drank her medicine and immediately put her arms up like a ballerina! She was all smiles!

To end the night, dad read her favorite book, Nina Nina Ballerina.  It's always adorable to hear him reading Lilly a goodnight story... the voice impressions are the best!

Fall leaves

Fall has always been my favorite season.  This year it has meant even more to me.  One afternoon I was inside cleaning up the dishes and the back screen door was opened.  I could hear the leaves crunching outside as Lilly ran around the backyard giggling as she chased the dogs.  That girl loves her puppies.  As I looked out the window, its like everything stood still as I reflect on the life I have been blessed with.

A beautiful little girl, running around giggling with each step.  A handsome husband that adores his little girl as she goes running into his arms to have her toss her high up into the sky.  Dogs barking as they frolic in the leaves and play tug-a-war with each other.  All of this I admire from the comfort of a beautiful house that we have made into our home.

I love the life that I live.  I have truly been blessed by the Lord and each day I thank him for the all that he has given me.

I love my honey hub! He will do all that he can to make sure I'm comfortable.  He loves me and all my imperfections.  Not a day goes by that I don't question the love that he has for me because he is always showing it in his actions.  He works hard, he plays hard. He's handy and ever so helpful to all those he comes in contact with. Always has a smile and always willing to put others needs in front of his own.  He's a worthy priesthood holder and always ready to give a good lesson in Priesthood.  He's an amazing daddy and our daughter adores him!

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect daughter.  I love her sweet smile. Her tiny little voice that constantly says, "Thank you mom." or "Lub You!"  She's growing so fast and learning so much that she amazes me in the knowledge she has already at such a young age. I love watching her take care of her babies and love them ever so gently. The way she has taught them how to pray or even puts them in time out because we don't hit.  She is such a precious little one.  I see so much of me in her. With her chubby cheeks, her love for her babies and that she always wants to wear a dress or a tutu.

It's such a comfort to be snuggled up next to my wonderful man while holding our little one.                      I'm grateful this is my eternity.

Week 29

How far along?  29 Weeks
Sleep: Besides the occasional potty breaks, it's pretty good!  Although this week I woke up a couple times with some serious leg cramps!
Best moment this week:  Overall it was a great week; I passed the glucose test and baby is doing great. We tried a new yummy Indian place called, "Taste of India", with Jake and Shalise. Always a pleasure enjoying their company.  Sunday we had Second Sunday and had A LOT of laughs with the entire family.  I loved it!
Miss Anything?  Just walking normal.  This little guy sits so low its uncomfortable to sit/walk/move normal!
Movement:  He's constantly going and strong!
Food cravings:  Chocolate Milk.  We have had that in our fridge consistently the past few weeks I've realized.  It's usually how I take my prenatal.
Have you started to show yet?  I can't see my toes....
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Always on!
Symptoms: Just the dang hip flexor pain!
Looking forward to:  I'm really looking forward to time with Lilly before baby boy gets here.  It will be fun to spend all day with that little girl of mine.  I am definitely counting down the days!

Week 28

How far along?  28 Weeks (The eight is supposed to be a ghost... haha!)
Sleep: Still wonderful.  Kind of funny this week - JC was up laying in bed and I had fallen asleep.  I kept remember him laughing at the show he was watching and nudging me pretty hard.  In the morning I told hIm I had a crazy dream that he was laughing so loud and pushing me pretty intensely at times... he says, "Well you were snoring so loud I was trying to stop it!"  I guess the sleep is good for me!
Best moment this week:  Halloween with the Little One!  She kept me busy between the school party, grandmas, Trick or Treating at Dad's office, and of course handing out candy!  She loved being Belle - but not so much having all the attention.  This year JC was the Beast, me Miss Potts, and Lilly Belle.  Lilly loved it!
Miss Anything?  Starting to miss work as crazy as the sounds!  December 4th is my last day... it's starting to get real that I'll be leaving after almost eight years!
Movement:  All the time!  Even had kicks during this picture!
Food cravings:  It's probably just the Halloween candy season... but I've had more Milkyways this week then I've ever had in my life!
Have you started to show yet?  I can't see my toes....
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Always on!
Symptoms: Just the dang hip flexor pain!
Looking forward to:  Getting Lilly's room done.  Have an adorable ballerina bedspread, paint - with sparkles, new bed, and a chandelier for her 'big girl room'.  How she is a big girl is beyond me... I don't like it!  She's still my Little One and always will be!

Week 27

How far along?  27 Weeks
Sleep: Sleeping is fantastic.  The Bump is starting to get bigger so I'm getting farther away from my tummy sleep…. the little tummy action I do get, I can usually feel the little guy kicking the bed in protest.  He sure knows how to party when its bed time.
Best moment this week:  This was a week of milestones!  Lilly's binkies 'broke' and she was a little sad at first, but now she's totally OK with it.  She even suggested we throw them away!  So she is officially de-binked!  She also had her first potty success in her little potty!  After that night we had three fun filled days in a row that we didn't get to practice more - but at least she knows how exciting it is!  We went to Cornbelly's, Carved Pumpkins with Papa and cousins, and went to Gardner Village to pet the animals.  I love taking her out and about to explore!  This was definitely a fun filled week!
Miss Anything?  Oh I'm missing my doctor already.  Our insurance is changing in January - luckily they are agreeing to pay everything as in-network services so I can still deliver with my doctor at his hospital…. but just knowing I have to get a new OB and Pediatrician is heart breaking.  There have been many {pregnancy} tears shed over this.  At least I'm a little better now knowing that they will let me deliver with my doctor.  How could you make a pregnant lady in the third trimester change her doctor 2 weeks before delivery?!?!  All is well… until I have to officially find a new doctor. :o(
Movement:  He is one wiggly worm! I can feel him a lot when its bed time.  The kicks are getting harder too.
Food cravings:  This week I had a ridiculous craving for potato wedges and puppy chow.  Both were satisfied :)
Have you started to show yet?  I always tease that I look like Gus Gus from Cinderella… my normal t-shirts show some belly and are hard to keep down!
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Always on!
Symptoms: Just the dang hip flexor pain!
Looking forward to:  Celebrating our 3 year anniversary!

Week 26

How far along?  26 Weeks
Sleep: Well, Maverick thinks he should join us on the bed now... so the king size has turned into a twin it feels like!  Luckily that habit broke pretty fast!
Best moment this week:  I'm going to go with two: taking Lilly to Wheeler Farm to see the animals.  She loved it!  Also JC and I went for a beautiful motorcycle ride on a perfect day!  We went through Highland, Corner Canyon, AF Canyon, Provo Canyon, into Midway for a snack break and Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Miss Anything?  I've said it before, but riding my bike.  I've been walking to pick Lilly up from daycare and its two miles each way.  That's been nice and refreshing!
Movement:  I felt him a lot on our motorcycle ride actually!  Baby boy is getting the vibe already!
Food cravings:  You know, I really wish I had cravings like I did with Lilly.  Dinner time would be so much easier.  Nothing ever sounds to particularly good.
Have you started to show yet?  I don't think that's a question anymore.  I feel like I've even got the waddle walk going...
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  On - Now my watch is another story.  Used to be too loose and now its getting too tight.  Baby weight in my wrists?! haha!
Symptoms: Sticking with the hip flexors pain! JC is a sweetheart and gets me a warm epson salt, eucalyptus candle light bath quiet often!
Looking forward to:  Halloween - It will be fun to take Lilly out and about this year!!

Week 25

How far along?  25 Weeks
Sleep: It's been hard getting out of bed!  I love nap time and bed time...
Best moment this week:  Friday was Overstocks 15th birthday celebration so JC was required to leave work early for the big ground breaking of the new building in Midvale.  So we took advantage of his time off and went to lunch while my mom had Lilly.  After we picked up Lilly we all took a nap, then JC and I went to the Overstock party that night. It was pretty exciting, free food and a free concert of Brett Michaels.  Surprisingly a really fun concert!  But my favorite part about the day, we were laying in bed and JC thought I had fallen asleep and was having sleep twitches... He asked me if I was sleep twitching and I said, "No, I can't sleep because of the ringing in my ears!" (the concert was really loud for us old folks!)  What he could feel was baby kicking my belly!  The little guy was going crazy and I loved that JC was able to experience all his wiggles!!
Miss Anything?  Standing up and just walking normal.  My hip flexors are all sorts of sore after sitting for awhile and take a second to get functioning!
Movement:  There has been a lot this week!  I mainly feel it while laying in bed - probably because I'm actually being still and focusing on it!
Food cravings:  Still going strong on the tomato craze!
Anything making you queasy or sick?  Ah, Peanut Butter.  That's been getting me since the beginning.  Which is horrible, coming from the girl who puts it on everything!  I can't eat it though and the smell... yuuuck.  JC gave me a kiss before leaving to work and he had had some peanut butter... I almost lost it.
Have you started to show yet?  Yes!  My friend that works across the hall from me says I have officially popped!
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? In.
Weddings rings on or off?  Easily go on and off!  I will always wear this beautiful ring!
Symptoms: Tired... work is busy and the sleepies are hitting hard now a days.
Looking forward to:  Second Sunday Supper.  It's the Boo-hler addition this week.  I love how my mom decorates for holidays and goes all out for our dinners.  It's even turned into a costume party!

Week 24

How far along?  24 Weeks - Yes, Yes, I skipped a week in the chalkboard pictures!  I wanted to be on the same track my doctor is so I jumped ahead since I'm still measuring a week earlier.  My due date has been changed to January 17th.
Sleep: It was fabulous this week!  I'm enjoying the little tummy sleep I can before I get too big.
Best moment this week:  Celebrated Lilly's Birthday!  She had so much fun with all her cousins, Elmo cake, and new toys of course!  I love watching her interact with her little cousins!
Miss Anything?  Motorcycle rides.  We keep talking about going but it's been too rainy or cold!
Movement:  He's a wiggle worm while I'm at work.  Keeps me entertained!
Food cravings:  Tomatoes.  I've never been a huge tomato fan, but all these homegrown tomatoes have really made an impression on baby!  I've had them on my eggs, salads, alone, and even simply a tomato sandwich!
Anything making you queasy or sick?  I'm hoping I'm out of this completely from now on!
Have you started to show yet?  Yes - its officially a pregnant belly.  I feel much bigger than last week!
Labor Signs: Negative
Belly Button in or out? Still in - I will be VERY surprised if it comes out.
Weddings rings on or off?  Easily go on and off!  I will always wear this beautiful ring!
Symptoms: You guessed it.... HEADACHES!  My hip flexors are getting sore too after sitting too long.
Looking forward to:  General Conference.  Women's conference was such a beautiful thing!  Anxious to have the weekend to listen to our Prophet and all the talks prepared for us.
